- Abstract: Cinema is a tool of scientific dissemination and a non-formal teaching material of science and health. Thus, this work aims to identify in what form the scientific information and likelihood relationships with the epidemic H1N1 Influenza demonstrated in the film Contagion. The qualitative research was adopted with the comparative method of data collection and film analysis. It was concluded that the film presents emergency medical care to the patient with zero severe condition, evolving to death, a situation similar to the state of Paraná, where emergency and emergency hospitalization occurred in 258 patients evolving to death during the epidemic.
