Abstract: 200-500 words
The focus of design is shifting from the single, static, and physical form to the adaptive, dynamic, and interactive behaviors resulted from computation being embedded into things, systems or environment. During this process, the relationship between human being and artifacts evolve implicitly. The traditional design paradigms which embody functionalism, formalism and contextualism are limited to construct an interaction-centered design language. Inspired by the research of anthropology, archaeology and ecological psychology, the interaction style between human and artifacts are described as the dynamic interactive form composed of interactive behaviors, which may be constructed based on the time-space-information framework. Drawing lessons from the traditional formal aesthetics rules, the interaction aesthetics is interpreted in view of the interaction gestalt and aesthetical experience based on the embodied phenomenon in daily life world.
