- Abstract: 200-500 words
- In a post post-modern world, somewhere in the ether, a woman / foreigner / mother / artist asks the question: “What does ‘communication’ mean - for my culture, generation, and all those other possible paradigms that overlap and intersect, affecting the exchange process?” Because of her “alien” status and her border-crossing, she is constantly asked to translate her “self” in a new language; as we witness her exchanges and see the overlapping thoughts that go through her mind, we experience the “misunderstandings” that occur in her daily life. Placed in a situation of misunderstanding, maybe one can question concepts of translation, politics, expectations and bias.
