- The concept of infinity was always a concern for the human psyche. As a being sensing only limited dimensions, infinity always eluded man. The representation of infinity for comprehension needed it to be reduced to finiteness and several systems were devised to make this transcend possible. Number systems like binary, decimal, hexadecimal; perspective systems which use projections and vanishing points; religious systems defining Gods and meditation etc do abstract infinity towads simplicity and then repeat the 'simple' to make complex structures. While on this process, they had to leave infinite space between their simplest and smallest parts. Infinity lies between zero and one; between sleep and wakefulness; one thought and the next. Infinty lies at the point between life and death. This thesis is a poetic study of inbetween positions, with artistic, mythical and scientific references.
